Trimecor MR contains Trimetazidine dihydrochloride and used in preventive treatment of angina attacks (monotherapy or combination therapy), adjuvant symptomatic treatment of vertigo and tinnitus (noises detected as ear whistling, buzzing, which do not correspond to any exterior sounds), adjuvant treatment of visual disorders of a circulatory origin.
Trimecor MR normalizes metabolism of cells in tissues with hypoxia or ischemia, prevents a decrease in intracellular ATP content which is responsible for providing cells with energy. Thus, Trimecor MR helps to support normal functioning of the ion channels, transportation of potassium ions and sodium through cell membranes, preserves cellular homeostasis, slows the oxidation of fatty acids and increases oxidation of glucose. This way it protects myocard from ischemia and prevents angina attacks.
Take one tablet of Trimecor MR two times a day during meals in the morning and evening. Duration of therapy is determined individually by your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or pregnant. It is not known whether trimetazidine excretes in breast milk, therefore during treatment it is better to stop breastfeeding. It should be taken into consideration that Trimecor MR is not administered for the relief of angina attacks and is not used in initial course of unstable angina or myocardial infarction therapy. Trimecor MR is not recommended to patients with renal insufficiency and creatinine clearance less than 15 ml/min and in patients with severely impaired hepatic function. Doctors are advised not to prescribe the medicine either to patients with Parkinson disease. Trimecor MR does not affect the ability to drive a car and perform work requiring high speed of psychomotor reactions.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have hypersensitivity to the medicine.
